Proprietors Bridgette Gordon and Tiffany Greenlee first visioned the restaurant as childhood friends. “After graduating from ETSU in 2009, I had a hard time finding a steady job that could support my family in the current economic state. Tiffany was also having the same problem, so we sat down and came up with a business plan based around the theme and name we had dreamed up more than 20 years ago. In September, we took that plan to a local bank and applied for a business loan. Today, that dream is a reality”, said Gordon.
Items on the menu include fried green tomatoes, chicken livers, fish and grits, hot wings, chicken and waffles, and a host of other soul food entrees. The restaurant will also feature a host of classic and authentic southern style foods such as; hand breaded chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and hand crafted ½ pound burgers served with a variety of flavors, toppings, and sides.
Tiffany Greenlee said, “Bridgette and I both learned how to cook at home with our mother’s and grandmothers. We believe that Salt N Pepper is the perfect restaurant concept to add to the vitality and different tastes in the Tri-Cities area. If you're looking for some comfort food served in a relaxed and welcoming setting, then this a place that you and your friends and family are sure to enjoy!”
The restaurant also offers catering services and take out items including entres and home made deserts and pies. For more infomration please call 423-283-SOUL (7685).
